Ichiro Hirata founded a business distributing bolting cloth for flour milling water mills.

Sanjiro Tanaka (the second generation) succeeded the business and named it Tanaka Sanjiro Shoten.

Naoki Tanaka (the third generation) succeeded the business and was extremely successful.

Naoki Tanaka passed away and his wife, Hideko, succeeded the business.

The company was incorporated as Tanaka Sanjiro Co.,Ltd.
1961
Hiroshi Tanaka (the fourth generation) became the president.
1965
The company began to sell fisheries-related products, starting with plankton nets.

The company began to do business with Swiss Silk Thal of Switzerland (now SEFAR) to import and sell their silk bolting cloth.

The company began to do business with Green Ges.m.b.H. of Australia to import and sell their stone milling machines.

The company opened an office in Seattle, U.S.A.

The company established a subsidiary company "ENFOTRAN CORP." in U.S.A
